The cookies and browser storage the site uses, what each one is for and how to manage your choice.

This page describes the cookies and similar technologies used by solarreport.co.uk (Solar Report), which is owned and run by Kind Services. We do not use analytics tools, advertising cookies or third-party advertising pixels, and we do not record advertising click identifiers.
Cookies and storage we use
We use these to make the site and the calculator work, plus two small items that we store only if you accept them: a flag that stops the calculator pop-up from appearing again, and a note of which quote button you used. None of them is used for analytics or advertising, and none is shared with other companies. We do not currently use your browser's local storage.

Your cookie banner choice
Our banner says: "This site uses a cookie to remember your choice. If you accept, it also remembers whether you've seen our calculator pop-up and which quote button you used. No analytics or advertising cookies." It offers "Necessary only" and "Accept all". Choosing "Accept all" allows only the pop-up flag and the `traffic_source` cookie in the table above; it does not switch on any analytics, advertising or tracking. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
Third-party services
When you open the calculator, its address search and map load from Google Maps Platform, which may use its own cookies or identifiers under Google's privacy policy.
Managing your choice
You can change your choice at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link at the foot of each page. If you choose "Necessary only", we don't store the pop-up flag or the `traffic_source` cookie, and the pop-up may appear more than once during a visit. Either way, we use no analytics or advertising cookies. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings; if you delete the calculator's storage, you will need to enter your answers again.
