JEL Renewables grew out of a family electrical contractor, with in-house solar coordination, one customer contact and roof integration alongside re-roofing.

JEL Renewables runs a domestic solar department within a wider electrical and civil engineering group. It grew out of the family-run commercial contractor JEL Electrical and serves homeowners across the North West from Southport.
JEL fits LONGi panels, Tesla Powerwall batteries and EV chargers, and assesses existing arrays for battery additions. It works with roofing contractors when integrating panels into a replacement roof.
Its in-house team coordinates design and installation with one project manager as the customer contact. At handover, the team explains controls and monitoring apps, with maintenance and performance checks available afterwards. It is MCS certified for solar PV (certificate NIC-600214, checked on the MCS installer search on 2 October 2026).
