Based in Wolsingham, County Durham, NZ Eco Electric designs and installs on-grid and off-grid solar PV and battery storage for homes and businesses. The company describes itself as family-run and says it was established in 2010, when the electrical contractor then trading as NZ Electrical added solar PV installation and took its current name to reflect the move into renewables; it says most of its work comes through word-of-mouth referrals. It is MCS certified for solar PV and battery storage (MCS certificate NAP-14503, checked on the MCS installer search on 25 September 2026).

Besides new installations, it upgrades, repairs and maintains solar PV and battery systems, including systems fitted by installers that have since closed, working with the manufacturers to get them running again. The company says its systems are designed by an installer rather than a salesperson.

It supplies and installs SolarEdge and myenergi EV chargers as part of solar PV and battery installations, and says it carries out repairs and replacements of SolarEdge, Fronius and REC products.
