Solar City started out as a Birmingham electrical firm in 1983 and has been fitting solar since 2005. The family-run business keeps design and fitting closely linked: customers deal directly with the people who design and install their system.
Its own team installs and commissions the equipment, handles the MCS paperwork and provides handover and aftercare. It fits panels on top of the roof or as part of the roof covering, and repairs and maintains existing systems.
Solar City works with AIKO panels and Fox ESS inverters and batteries, and fits EV chargers. It is MCS certified for solar PV and battery storage (certificate NIC-1542, checked on the MCS installer search on 2 October 2026).
