Alternative Energy Solutions

Alternative Energy Solutions is the trading name of Alternative Lighting Services Ltd, which it describes as a family-run business established in 2004 in Marcham, near Abingdon. It installs solar PV, battery storage and EV charging points for domestic and commercial customers in Oxford and the surrounding areas. The company is MCS certified for solar PV and battery storage (MCS certificate NIC-1404, checked on the MCS installer search on 25 September 2026) and is a member of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC), confirmed in RECC's member search on 25 September 2026.

Its solar work covers home and commercial installations as well as the maintenance and repair of existing panels. It also works as an electrician, providing electrical design and rewiring, commercial lighting and fuse box work, inspection and testing, and emergency callouts.
